Calibrations and verifications

To control the dosimetry system and guarantee its correct functioning, it is subjected to internal verifications and an annual calibration by an outsourced reference laboratory.

• The thermoluminiscence system calibration process is performed with dosimeters radiated at known values of the magnitudes object of the test at secondary official calibration laboratory, following the protocols established by standard ISO 4037-3.
• Daily verifications consist of radiating a group of dosimeters in radiation equipment and reading them in the different equipment to assess the state of the readers against the reference state.

Moreover each reader undergoes different automatic checks causing equipment stoppage in the event they do not meet the established reading conditions.
