Work station

Work station dosimeters are calibrated at an equivalent personal superficialH_P(0.07) and deep H_P(10) dose, with the same configuration as whole body dosimeters and follow the same process.

Basic regulations of use:

• It must be used by all personnel who share a series of functions and tasks assigned to the work station where dosimeter control is required.

This dosimeter is not used much and is only recommended if:

•  The company has a Radiological Protection technician trained to define the convenience of this dosimeter, and is capable of distributing the final equivalent dose depending on each operator’s workload, once the result has been issued.
• As in the case of the area dosimeter, its use is conditioned to the equivalent doses recorded being lower than the detection level.
